Since television is not so much an extension of the 
visual power as of the tactual and involving power, 
naturally therefore, any form of language 
instruction which calls for much use of sight and 
sound, touch and taste, altogether—ideally favored 
by television. So people who continue to look at 
television as if it were a sort of inferior low-grade 
movie, are missing the complete meaning and 
opportunity of television.
